1. i think that byung chul han's criticism of vilem flusser in "in the swarm", although interesting - is misguided. han identifies flusser's media theory (medienkultur) through what he dubs "messianistic networking", the idea that telematics allows for a technology of love by collapsing time and space into shared intersubjectivity, abolishing humanism in favor of altruism. han argues that instead of community, the internet isolates subjects into self-optimizing projects, "islands of egos", however his focus on the dark turn in internet ecology is all too predictable, given the topic of resonance is about shared continuity. i think that the internet instead turns subjects not into projects but into sluts, resonating machines that require shared resemblance, a form of memetic news that, albeit han is right, does isolate subjects, also causes them to become gossipal prostitutes of the world. unlike han, i believe the internet doesn't create projects everywhere, only in a few viral avatars, the rest are instead turned into mediated supporters of the status quo of infomatics itself, due to the way that communion through networks has been shaped into a globunion - an auto-shared globality.
